Our Faiths: A Peace Offering
A casual conversation about a faith other than our own often dissolves into argument because we are unfamiliar with core religious beliefs and sacred texts of other faiths. Lawyer and United Methodist minister Andrew Tevington's Our Faiths bridges the spiritual divide in straightforward, factual short essays about a broad range of religions, denominations and sects. Each is framed in response to a question from a reader of Tevington's popular newspaper column. Our Faiths is both a quick reference and an engrossing, readable introduction to the world's diverse religions - a "peace offering" to the world.

Tevington's even-handed coverage of the tenets of all faiths is a joy to read in this era of conservatism. If you have questions about what people of other faiths believe, this book will likely have a respectful answer.
