Since Waterloo Colonel Richard Weston has blamed himself for the death of his half-brother, Charles, once the heir to the Moreton Arnscote estate and title.

Three years later it seems the estate will fall into the hands of gamester Sydney Moreton unless the rightful heir or heiress can be found.

That person is Caroline Moreton but she is unaware of her family history and inheritance.

Lynda Dunwell is an LSE graduate who taught economics and business studies for over twenty years. She has also worked as a press officer, advertisement copy writer and tourist officer.
She is an award-winning short-story writer and historical romance novelist. She is a member of the UK Romantic Novelists' Association, the Romance Writers of America and is secretary of the Jane Austen Society Midlands.
Another interest is family history. Lynda is a member of the Society of Genealogists and has traced her paternal family line - the Dunwells - back to 1485. Currently, she is researching her female line which she describes as far more challenging.
Although based in the English Midlands, Lynda loves the sea and spends most of her vacations on cruise ships.
