The author is a well-known researcher, and this book is indeed a solid introduction to ml covering all subfields. Its best part is, this book includes a tremendous amount of references to seminal works and important books for each subfield. I would always have this book on my desk for reference.

刚入门的时候看的书。虽然鼎鼎有名，但是我觉得不适合初学者。想入门机器学习的大概看看前三章差不多了。剩下的可以当工具书来查阅。
