Hide a Butterfly

Rate this book
Children create camouflaged butterflies, hungry birds, and a meadow of flowers as they learn about meadows and the basic concept of protective coloration. During the activities, children identify parts of a flower, make flowers and grass for a mural, then talk about small animals they've seen in real grass or on flowers. They decorate paper butterflies and make bird puppets, then act out the behaviour of birds and butterflies.
