I actually own the 12th edition, but I couldn't find it, so here I am.

This book is by far the funniest textbook I have ever read. The authors never seem to take themselves seriously (don't get me wrong, they explain the concepts very well but that's not my point here) - expect puns, self-deprecatory humour and witty headings. The two authors often break the wall between writer and reader. Two examples: first, alluding to their poor eyesight (and joking about it) in Chapter 4 and discussing their coffee habits in another chapter. It's hard not to like reading this textbook when you have headings titled "Ping-Pong Playing Pigeons?". I greatly appreciated their effort to make the book interesting and fun to read.

When discussing topics like extrasensory perception and pseudoscience, they're not the most impartial of authors but manage to subtly express just that little disdain for these things in a very humourous way. I'd get this book just for the knowledge and the priceless tidbits of wit.

Highly recommended, if only for the laughs it gave me.

This is a really great book as a basis for first year psychology or as a filler/supplement for your module or course.
