This is a largely forgettable harlequin romance.
She goes by Emily Smith, and she's running late at night as this book opens. Of course, you don't know why she's running, and neither does the obviously wealthy guy in the sports car who slows down to offer her a ride that night. But Sean Townsend is smitten with Emily almost from the start, and he works to get her more involved in his life by hiring her new catering company to handle his social schedule.
Of course, Emily wants him as well, but there's a mysterious dark thing in her past that will destroy the romance if it comes to light.
This one is so formulaic as to be tiresome. It's a fairly quick read, but it won't leave you breathlessly awaiting your next encounter with this author.

Emily's a runner and likes to run at night in very remote areas. She is very frightened
when at times there is another following her. She evades them and runs home where she
lives with others who will protect her. She never tells them of her fears. She continues
on with her life, she appears in shows and enjoys them.
It all comes to a head one night when her and Larry try to capture another who is after her
after Larry has explained why it's not him but he's there to help her, when they are in turn
captured.
