Nora and the Little Blue Rabbit

Rate this book
Nora is the new girl in school and just wants to make friends. Then one day she spots something unusual out of the corner of her eye – a little blue bunny that only she can see. At last she has someone play with and talk to. When she discovers that a boy in class can also see the rabbit, she makes a real life friend who also has a secret of his own. Unlike any children's book before, the entire story ingeniously takes places on the walls in the photographs. Illustrated in a vibrant graffiti art style, this book comes with two stencils that allow kids and adults to recreate some of their favorite characters from the book.

LOOK what just hit the book shelves in picture book form for kids???!!! Graffiti!

The boldness, color, and energy of street art have always fascinated me. Rebellion, risk, and temporariness define the style. The aliveness of the art is what pulls me in! I search out the spray painted streaks, letters, images, and more in every town, trail, and city I visit. Sooo….my heart thumped for joy when I spotted Nora and the Little Blue Rabbit at the book store. This story is told on the walls of the book in graffiti art! Yes, a storybook for kids with stencils and wheat paste characters!!!

Nora is new at school. With no friends to play with, Nora is a bit lonely. That is until a little blue rabbit hops into her life. A rabbit that only she can see. Maybe. The pair play and talk all day. And maybe, just maybe the little blue rabbit will bring more friends into Nora’s world. Hop on in and see!

In a bright, fun, unique style, Nora’s story comes to light. I loved how the vivid colors danced around the page while Nora’s black and white image held on to the wall with sweetness and fun. Nora’s smile and the rabbit’s energy are contagious! You’ll be smiling by the end.

Hope you check this one out. It feels like the first and only! I want more!

p.s. The book comes with 2 stencils too. Kids can create their own story. What color will you make your rabbit?
