It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.

I was honestly a little surprised in that I liked this story more than I thought I would. I picked up the first part of the story as a freebie, but I actually wanted to read on, so I bought the rest of the "series." I put that in quotation marks because if you aren't familiar with these kinds of books, the author essentially takes what is already a pretty short story (this one was 121 pages) and makes it into 3-4 separate pieces, which I don't love as a strategy, but I guess that's how they make money on these.

Anyway, the story line was actually good (again, a surprise) - the female character recently got out of a going nowhere long-term relationship, so she decided to take a risk and join a singles' adventure excursion (biking & hiking, basically). The hook-up happened at light speed, which is kind of a hallmark of these kinds of books, but they actually did establish a bit of a relationship from there with some interesting parts, so it wasn't just sex, sex, more sex, oh, and another round of sex like some of these "quickies" as I refer to the short reads tend to be. I appreciate some good smut, but I do need a plot to keep me interested.

One thing that annoyed me was that on more than one occasion, the h flipped out on the H when she should have just talked with him about what/why/how/when/who was bugging her. She had been in a relationship for 13 years according to her background story, so that indicated to me that she's not a YA and needs to grow up a little. Other than that, I liked the rest of the story for what it was - a decent quickie with some hot scenes and enough of a story to keep the reader interested.

Addicting

Very addicting like all of Jordan's books. I enjoyed the characters immensely and the story line was amazing. I love Jordan's ideas and cleverness when it comes to books. I have read the majority of her books and continue to read the rest as well and all are just fabulous 5 stars from me!

I really enjoyed this story

Very hot and sweet. Drama free for the most part but an epilogue would have been nice. Ethan and Quinn had insta chemistry and Roscoe and Sally where a nice addition to the story.

I didn't like this book. Quinn was unsure of herself, clingy, and easy comprised what she wanted for herself in a relationship. She was too giving and she didn't get anything in return but pain with sex. Disappointing to me.
