Life has never been more complicated for Aria Hunter. Moving from New York to California was supposed to bring her closer to Noah, and it had... in all the wrong ways. Now at eighteen, she is lost, confused, and more in love with the man who had rescued her from Hell. He came to her as a fallen angel in disguise, but even angels fall from grace.
In "I Shouldn't Love This Way," the steaming sequel to the successful debut novel, "I Shouldn't Feel This Way," Mina Alexia masterfully weaves the most complicated love story that will touch the hearts of her readers, break them into pieces, and put them back together again.
This is far and away an improvement from the first. It still tends to be too long in the tooth but it’s far more insightful and intriguing. The more I read the more I believe this writer is graced with clever ideas.
For a creepy stalker, Uncle Evan is pretty charming. Not gonna lie, that dance would seduce the dead.
Jaysus! I thought the last book was a mindfuck!
Evan just keeps getting more fucked up which means I just like him more and more.
To me Evan no doubt suffered PTSD but also RAD or Reactive Attachment Disorder. This is common in children that are neglected, they didn’t get enough physical or emotional attention so they don’t develop a healthy attachment with parents or caregivers. Those that are effected tend to not have a conscience, an inability to maintain significant relationships, control issues, impulsivity, lack a sense of belonging. Sounds about right. Also it’s common for kids with RAD to set fires, that was my first inclination that he might be affected.
Holy hell! Nobody saw that coming!!
Fucking hell!!! That ending! I can’t live with that cliffhanger! Who knows when she’ll write the third. But I have done a bit of detective work and do know that even though it’s been years, she is working on the next book. But gawd! I wish I had known before I started this whole thing. That doesn’t take away how much I enjoyed this one because it was incredible!
Well I think this story miss something… It stayed a bit confusing about a lot of another characters and their stories. I didn’t see another book in this series 🫠 Come on…
TW: Rape (on page, not Aria though), Violence, and Domestic Violence.
Cheating explanation: I debated putting this book in the cheating shelf but I decided to in the end.
While I didn't love this one as much as the first, I still really enjoyed it.
Aria and Noah are still dancing the line of 'will they, won't they'. There are some reveals, some I liked, some I felt were the easy way out, I'm curious to see where all this goes in the next/last book.
My main..annoyance with this book was the
Also, this book had a lot of things going on outside of the Noah/Aria relationship, their relationship was mostly them being mad at each other and other people and other circumstances getting between them in some way.
According to the author's blog she is working on the next book and hopes to have it out this year maybe early next year. I'm so excited to read it once it's published!
Love it just as much as the first book TEAM NORIA!! Gahh mina you're an evil genius can't wait to read the next book (don't make me wait too long please) everyone needs to read this book!!!!
At what point did the author thought it was pertinent to use the same trop four times ? It’s a dream… shabadah badah ! And you can twist the plot as easily as you would like. Urg. Thé FL was annoying and not grown up at all ! Shallow, yes ! I hated her. She is just a « beautiful » girl changing her mind way too easily and crying… It wasn’t a pleasure to read it. I actually liked Evan better than Noah, until the chapter were he magically becomes a psycho. Not just a dark brooding guy. I didn’t think I could be this disappointed. I couldn’t force myself to read it to the end, stopped at around chapter 40.
I so do not recommend it.

I couldn’t put it down! The author does a remarkable job of telling this story from alternating points of view. Noah and Aria’s perspectives each reflect emotions and thoughts that felt authentic to each of their age. It’s rare that I read a book that evokes the big feelings I had as a teenage girl, but this was done so well that I low key think I’m in love with Noah too! There were some inconsistencies with dates and secondary characters’ backgrounds (if Evan was born in Massachusetts, why did he have a British accent?), but it in no way affected the overall plot. Someone please tell me that the third book is coming soon! I need Noah and Aria to FINALLY consummate their relationship!

Do not read this if you want to find out the of the story. I read the first book on KU. Ends in cliffhanger Second book you have to pay for. I wanted to see how Aria and Noahs story ends. Second book ends in a cliffhanger also. There seems to be no third book coming out. I am very disappointed.
Must read , but I stayed hooked .lol.book printed in 2015 if I am nor mistaken, and no 3rd .. Omg now in my mind I am writing this amazingly good book , because its a great injustice to leave aria and Noah to have there Happy ending
