This is one of the best and most comprehensive books I have read in my 40 years of studying astrology. It was originally printed in 1994, and it is very difficult to find it now. I treasure my copy! Ashman covers in depth every major aspect (including quincunx, which I also treat as a major aspect) between every planet. His detailed and well-written descriptions can be applied to interpret natal aspects, progressions, and transits. This book provides the full spectrum of variations of how the connections between planets can be experienced - the difficult ("intense or dark"), the mediocre, and the superior ("soft or light") - the highest and lowest potential. In addition, he covers the aspects of the planets to the angles - the Ascendant (and therefore the Descendant) and the Midheaven/MC (and therefore the Nadir/IC), brings in the elements, and covers the progressed Ascendant changing Houses. This is a truly valuable reference for any astrologer, including professionals. I teach astrology classes and do readings professionally and this book has been one of my core resources for years.
