Thanks to his desire to leave behind a genetic legacy and thanks to a blue-eyed beauty named Rachel Reilly--Jack Sawyer now had a son. He knew he had no right to play daddy, but he was determined to make sure this woman, whom he had never met, was a loving parent.
led to the family he’d always wanted!
Rachel was unaware that Jack was the sperm-bank donor who had fathered her baby. She only knew that her reaction to the strikingly handsome man who had suddenly appeared in her life was unfamiliar...and undeniable. But what would she do when she learned that attraction wasn’t the half of what had brought them together?
More like 2.5 stars. If the first chapter did not happen, or the story didn't start the way it did, I would give it a bit more. The fact that this rich man was able to open sealed documents about the sperm he donated, then insinuated himself into her life to get to know his son, is absolutely deplorable. I would have rooted more for him and the relationship, but for this. It is disgusting. Another problem was that, even though it's a romance and you expect a happy ending, it took no time at all for her to forgive him and agree to marry him. Sorry, no!!!
Also, there are so many editing errors in this book, it was as if they forgot to do spell check and grammar check. It's not just a few errors, there was an error on almost every single page of this book. I can get past a few small ones, but these were bad. Some of them were as if the author had another way of stating something, but forgot to delete what she already wrote, and just continued on with the new train of thought and it took you out of the story all the time. I always give an author one or two more tries, as no author is perfect, and I will try the next book, but not anytime soon.
This study uses descriptive research design. A descriptive research design helps in finding out certain conditions, opinions and in developing trends. Descriptive method is a fact finding such as practices, situation or any other phenomena. Since the researchers study was all about the relevance of music practice of the seminarians of the immaculate heart of Mary seminary, the descriptive method is a good research design to be use in this particular study. In this method the researcher could easily find the answer of the said research topic.
Research environment
The researcher chooses his own locale environment the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary as his environment to undergone his research study. Taloto district was is a part of the city of Tagbilaran. Taloto district is not so populated area. In this place the seminary was located. From the heart of the city of tagbilaran it may took 15 minutes so that you can reach the said area. For the transportation matter, you my ride a multicab or a tricycle.
Research respondents The respondents of the study are seminarians. These seminarians are composed off 112 boys both from the diocese of Tagbilaran and in Talibon.
Respondents population and samples Respondent’s Population Samples Pre-college 26 10 First year 18 12 Second year 26 8 Third year 22 15 Fourth year 17 10 Total 110 55
The sample size of this data is (55) seminarians. It was divided to get the total number per respondents. There are (26) pre-college seminarians,(18)first year seminarians,(26) second year seminarians,(22)third year seminarians, and (24) fourth year seminarians.
Research instruments The researcher uses questionnaire for his research problem as his instrument in gathering the data. A questionnaire can easily be administered, less expensive, and can be administered to many respondents at same time. The researcher comes up to this kind of instrument because he can easily monitor his respondents and he can get easily the questionnaire from his respondents. The only thing so that the questionnaire will come back to the researcher is to keep on surveying his respondents. The researcher may give rewards to his respondents as an appetizer so that they will submit properly the given sets of questions.
Research Procedures Data Gathering The research procedure of this data is about data gathering. Through tabulation the researcher was able to gather data for his topic. In gathering this data, the researcher gives questionnaire to his respondents. The purpose of this data tabulation, is to find the respondents answers the said given problem about the relevance of music practice of the seminarian of the immaculate heart of Mary seminary in the school year 2008-2009. The percentage of each respondents are classified as seminarians as respondent of the said topic. Data Treatment These are the statistical techniques that the researcher suggests to apply in the gathered data for analysis and interpretation. The formula Χ =∑fx
Where : X= weighted arithmetic mean Fx= sum of all products of f and x where f is the frequency Of each score obtain. And x is the weight of each score f = sum of the respondents N= total number of respondents
And also it uses percentage as the secondary formula of the study. f x 100 n
where: f = sum of the respondents n= total number of respondents x 100 = multiplied by 100

OK let me be clear here that I know these books are all fluff and happy endings. I've read a hundred or more of these Special Edition books from Harlequin and I can't resist picking them up at thrift stores. I know the formula, I know what to expect.
but seriously, this book. omg. this guy thinks he's dying so he donates his sperm to "keep his legacy alive." turns out he's not really dying but he wonders if his precious seed had been plucked, and of course it has, bc he's tall, dark, and handsome (on paper and in a little cup). so because he has loads of money, as the guys in these books always do, he hires an investigator, who finds the girl and violates private medical rights and yep, Jack has a son!
never mind that he signed his rights away and he is only a father in the medical sense. but dude, you aren't a dad! you knew what you were getting into! you stalked this girl and tricked her and SHE TAKES YOU BACK??
Rachel isn't sensible. jack is an egotistical loon. the only sensible and likable character was the former fiancé that'd left Rachel at the altar and shows back up with his apologies. take him back, girl! he is at least honest.
the author had Rachel's estranged sister randomly appear and their relationship was magically fixed and un-tensed in one conversation, and then she was gone. I can only assume she had a few scenes bc one of the books in the Baby Daze series will be about her (I'm not sure I care enough to Google it but I know I'm not gonna look for extra books in the series at thrift stores in the future.)
(but if I'm really being honest with myself, I probably will. how do you do it, Harlequin?)
EDIT: OK, you got me. I looked it up. the sister doesn't have her own book. what was the point of this? and why am I worried about it?
SECOND EDIT: I put this book on my shelf alphabetically and found the third book of this series. so that means I've already read another one, even though in my scathing review above I swore to all that is holy that I wouldn't. whoops. sounds like I need to venture out.
