Richly lacking in structure and organization. Plenty of helpful ideas scattered throughout, like grabbing coins in Super Mario.
Has some incredibly selfish advice, like posting fake job postings to make yourself look good to clients, and redirecting any good candidates to actual jobs you have. I know far too many people who spend countless hours looking for work-this mindset in recruiters doesn't serve job seekers well.
Overall, I learned from this book. But I can't help but think there are plenty of better books on the topic.
If you are thinking of going into recruiting as an occupation, this is a must-read. It provides a thorough guide on how to secure and manage clients and candidates, how to use social media to your advantage and how to market via email, job boards, etc. There is a great section on handling objections that I’m going to memorize! Well done!
Not for experienced TA professionals, ideal for new starters
I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in Agency Recruitment. Not ideal for someone in an RPO function unless they are in New Business Development) or someone with experience.
I'm just getting into recruitment. This book have had a wealth a information for someone just starting out. I can see how someone e with some experience could also benefit from it.
