The thoughts and intents of the Christian heart. "the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law." Galatians 5. 22-23 This 2nd edition of the popular book by Colin Attridge looks at these verses from Galatians and discusses the impact they should have on the Christian life, the thoughts and intents of the Christian heart.
Attridge has a lot of good thoughts on the fruit of the spirit. His actual view of what "the spirit" (in all cases not just in the Gal. use) was a bit too restrictive for my theology. His main claim, in this regard, was that any time "the Spirit" was mentioned it was talking about the Bible and the human action of studying it. Besides that, the information on the fruit of the spirit and what they were was deep and insightful.
Essential reading for all Christians. Provides thought provoking ideas about how to incorporate the fruits of the sprit into our daily lives. Written in a clear and straightforward way; I can see myself rereading this book many times over
