AUTHOR’S This is a 10,000 word stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliff-hangers! Story contains mature themes and language, and is intended for 18+ readers only.
First, this was a book with a main story and a number of added "bonus stories". The main story was just a short and frankly, some of the following stories felt way longer. Perhaps the reason was that the main story ended 10% into the book. To top that off, the language and plot (in all of the stories) were so juvenile. All the shorts should have gone through some editing, because there were plenty of grammatical errors as well as misspellings. If those are obvious and annoying to me, as someone with English as a second language, then it ought to be even more so to native speakers.
I could have forgiven all the above if the stories had been more engaging and interesting. Not even the supposed romance and "hot" scenes brought anything to the stories to me. I would have had a more rewarding time reading my 10-year-old daughter's journal.
I got this book as a free download and was ready to get into some hot and steamy Navy Seal MC Romance, and it started off very promising and I liked the main characters and the storyline. What came as a surprise was that it was only a novella and it was followed by about 15 other novellas that I did not expect. The second story was also about a soldier that was forced to take a vacation as well, and the rest were as far removed from anything Seal or MC related. They seemed more appropriate for YA and not at all something that should go together with the title of the book or something I wanted to read. I read about 5 more stories and then just decided to give up. Very confusing combo, perhaps it was a mistake?
I read in detail about this book. It led me to believe it was one story...not! It didn't say in the description it was all novella &"=#. So as the story start about Slade and Ginger, then it is over at 6%!!! There are 6 more short stories!!!!! Why didn't others mention this in their reviews!??? Why isn't it mentioned on the front of the book???? This is just NOT ACCEPTABLE
