A true story from beginning to end about the life of a traumatized kid who learned nothing but criminal and ridiculous behavior from inside the walls of his family’s fourth generation home at 20 Cedar St. A home which was said to be cursed has plagued nearly everyone who’s lived inside for the past 100 years. Growing up without guidance, he was only capable of learning from his own unfortunate mistakes. After years of death, drugs, violence, gambling and lies, he sets out with the hopes of discovering the actual truth to his childhood memories. He becomes the only person to believe he’s solved the gruesome truth of his family member’s cold case murder. He eventually tries to change his own ways before it becomes too late.

Jason Salvino hopes to become the first male in four generations to gain the strength and wisdom so desperately needed to overcome the century long 20 Cedar St curse.

Ever since I was a young child, I had always been told by strangers that a movie should've been made about my family.

20 Cedar St. A True Story which contains crime, romance, murder, mystery, drama, violence, addiction, love, hate, forgiveness, humor, much more, and a 100 year curse.

I would love to hear feedback from readers. My true story is a rare find. There is so much more to tell, but I didn't feel the need to tell anymore than I did.

I guarantee you one of the most thrilling true stories you've ever read.

I marked this book as read, but the truth is, I didn't get very far into it. When I got the the part about the author torturing animals as a child, I had to stop. I don't care how old someone is, this is wrong and I can't even handle reading about it.
I am sorry he had a crappy childhood , but I can't read this. Up until that point, I liked the writing style though so if you can handle reading things like that then you may want to give it a try.
I can only hope he donates some profits from the book to animal rescue as a way to pay for his sins.

My mother and I love a good memoir. When we found 20 Cedar St. we were amazed to realize that my mother grew up right next store to this family. I spent my summers with my grandmother and remember Jason and his siblings. This family was known in the town for what Jason describes in his book. If anything Jason held back. HIs story is kind of like one of those old David Lynch movies. You can live your whole life next to a family and never know the sorrow and horror that goes on next store. Jason style of writing is raw. He has a story to tell and he simply tells it with out and fanfare. There is no lag time in this page turner. He could not let go of his childhood memories and a terrible tragic mystery that took place. He searches for answers as an adult and when he finds them it is truly heartbreaking. There is also humor speckled throughout making this book a truly good read.

This book was very hard to read because of the contents about generations of a very dysfunctional family. I can't even imagine what this young man went through to crawl out from under that mess. The story wasn't well written, but it worked for the topic he wrote about. This was a story about Jason baring his heart and soul out to come clean about his life with it's mistakes and the people he loved; therefore letting go of his guilt and anger of the past. I am happy that this young man escaped to a better life that he deserves. I would have looked at Jason and his family the day he was born, and would have said he didn't stand a chance. But he can now break the damaging cycle with his own family. They are what matters. Congrats for beating the odds and moving on.

Excellent Read, Couldn't put it down!

I really enjoyed this story and thought it was very well written. It brought back a lot of memories as I knew some of the characters. Your grandmother was the nicest lady and her only fault was realizing to late that her children had addiction issues. I do remember some funny times and have lots fond memories.

I grew up in same neighborhood as the authors mother and remember the family. Intriguing story by a novice writer sharing such raw emotions. You will enjoy and feel happy that he has found peace and happiness after such a difficult childhood.
