Really enjoyed this high energy Romance. From the start I loved how Christine brought the environment to life with her amazing description. These two characters were drawn to each other from the start. While I'm not a big fan of the heroes heartache and that type of story, I'm glad that I dove in blind because I felt Roark felt so much more for Sabine than he had ever experienced. So many times his thoughts showed he'd never felt as deep before and their chemistry was on fire. Life's been crazy lately and this read was the perfect escape for me. Christine never let's me down.
When Sabine´s ski adventure turns into an avalanche disaster luck is still on her side. Roark left fame and city for a quiet life with his dogs. He never expected a rescue mission in a snow storm. Can an intense beginning build into something bigger? Contemporary romance, feelings and smutty fluff in a great combo. Disclaimer, I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review (but I would have bought it myself =) )
Sabine Borgia has adventure in her blood. With a close circle of friends, she seeks the rush that only conquering a mountain covered in fresh snow can provide.
So when a heli-skiing trip to Alaska takes a turn toward disaster, she finds herself to be the only one able to go for help. But elements prove far from forgiving to a lone girl searching for salvation.
She’s rescued by a mysterious man who guards his privacy as fiercely as he guards his heart. But Sabine knows that there’s something about the way that this towering man looks at her that threatens to unleash a long dormant passion that when awakened could literally consume them both.
He cuts me off with a lone finger pressed against the center of my lips. His sexy tone is direct and demanding. “Hush. I’ll take this as my payment, Sabine.” Oh my God yes …. Do it, Roark. Take me. Wreck me beneath your powerful body. Annihilate any thought except your dominance. In a blink of an eye his warm finger is gone, replaced by those luscious lips that are swiftly becoming my undoing. Perfection. I want to melt into him and never let go.
Roark Thibault can’t believe that he found a small girl curled up on the ground in the middle of one of the worst snowstorms on record. He brings her into his isolated cabin and breathes life back into her tiny form.
This fiery little woman instantly works her way under his skin and breaks down all of his defenses. In a few short days, they share so much more than just a handful of wickedly hot encounters.
So when the snow stops falling and world creeps in, how do you ever say goodbye to the other half of your soul?
“Never seen anything as beautiful as you in my whole life. God, I love how stare at me.” I can feel the hot blush work its way up my neck onto my cheeks from his compliment. “Roark ….” My impatience is unmistakable. “Give me this, Sabine. Let me look at you, never gonna forget this, not ever. You’re branded into my f*cking memory, angel.”
Latitude 59 is a game changer for Christine Edwards! Known for her seriously sexy and dominant Alphas, she has surprisingly crafted Roark Thibault with just the perfect amount of gentle sweetness.
She then infused every word with a kind of poignant longing and her signature brand of blazing desire to make this book burn hotter than the Midnight sun.
It’s definitely Christine at her satisfying, soul scorching best…

Roark Thibault loved playing hockey. This is until an injury took him out of the game and made him change the course of his life. He is now in a remote area of Alaska living in peace and quiet, hunting and enjoying the scenery.
Sabine Borgia loves hanging out with her cousin and best friend. Taking a trip to Alaska to ski turns their life upside down when an avalanche causes serious injuries. Sabine is the only one capable of trying to go get help. That is until the cold takes over.
Roark is out hunting when he sees a snow angel. He knows that she might not have long if he does not hurry and get her warm. He knows that she needs help but with the storm coming in and everything shutting down the responsibility is left on him to keep her alive. Sabine wakes to find herself being taken care of by a strange very good looking man. She knows she owes her life to this man.
When the sparks start to fly Roark and Sabine become very comfortable with the situation they are in. So much so that she is not sure she even wants to leave. But she knows that she needs to go take care of her family and that must come first.
This is a very interesting read. I love the chemistry that Roark and Sabine have. The book is very well written and keeps you turning the pages. The attraction that they know they can never fight is so intense and hot.
Ms. Christine Edwards takes a step away from her worldly BDSM adventures and forges an incredibly romantic love story where the man does everything he can to do right by the woman he loves. He'll move mountains for a second chance at a once in a lifetime future. With Latitude 59, Christine sets in motion a series of events that lead the beautiful, loving Sabine Borgia to the safety of powerful Roark Thibault, a retired hockey player with a painful past.
Sabine is a self employed internet entrepreneur out for an adventurous heli-skiing trip. Just after landing, an avalanche hits. She soon becomes lost and frozen in the wilderness of Alaska. Imposing and hulking hunter, Roark, happens upon Sabine. He rescues her and is shocked at how quickly feelings for Sabine stir in him.
Now I personally fell in love with Roark. His mind and body have been scarred. But seeing Sabine in distress jump starts his heart. As they are forced to wait out a blizzard in his secluded cabin, his guarded psyche and soul thaw.
You can cut the sexual tension with a butter knife between eachother's explosive presence. Sabine is falling hard & fast as things heat up between them rapidly. Soon they are exploring eachother's bodies in ever possible way, from a hot tub, to bedrooms, to against the wall of the shower. Roark is encouraged by Sabine to "Unleash on me." For far too long he's held back the sexual beast within. He gives all of himself to Sabine & in return, quote Sabine: "...Heaven. This man has shown me Heaven."
Never failing to capture a moment in perfect words, Christine's dialogue for "Latitude" is electrifying. She captures your attention with the raw dirty talk of Roark, that could melt the polar ice caps! And Sabine calling Roark "Brutal Beauty," "the definition of exceptional" and "just like warm steel encased in velvet"...Christine leaves your mouth dry and your palms sweaty.
As all good things unfortunately come to an end, Sabine & Roark must part. Their lives are taking different paths. Can they find a crossroad to bring them together or will drastic times call for drastic measures? As I wrote at the start of this review...."the man does everything he can to do right by the woman he loves." A 5 Star read from beginning to end that left me only wanting more of Roark and Sabine.
From Me Personally: Do you know how you can tell a writer is invested in their characters? When you can feel the passion of the writer while reading their work and that passion comes right off the pages. And that's when you yourself become emotionally invested in the characters and every personal detail that you can't wait to learn about them. Christine Edwards has that gift and gives you all that plus so much more. She even picks songs to add in at just the right time in her books. Perfectly pinned in as the lyrics and the rhythm reflect the mood. She is unmatched. She is dedicated. She is phenomenal. Thank you Christine<3
