I collect Japanese contemporary ceramics and have three pieces by Shimaoka Tatsuzo as well as four by his teacher Hamada Shoji. This book is a retrospective on Shimaoka’s career and work and includes stunning photographs of the ceramics he has created. A delight to page through and see his expertise on display! His skill set is so valued that he was selected to be one of only 36 to be designated a Living National Treasure in Ceramics.
