Obake are spirits and monsters that take the form of animals to blend in with the natural world. A secret organization exists to protect mankind and eliminate all Obake. Its agents are commonly referred to as “exorcists.” My name is Daisuke Matsumoto and this is my story. Last time we met I joined a secret organization of exorcists who hunt down evil monsters which are disguised as regular animals. My training was going great until a super powerful fox monster attacked and my teacher tried to kill me. Now my friends and the organization are accusing me of being a monster in human form, but that can’t be possible, can it?
If you're a fan of Japanese anime you will really enjoy reading this. It has the same charm and humour. For me, it was a lot like Naruto, so any fan of that will most likely enjoy this.
I enjoyed it as much as I did the first book. But you probably have to read that first to fully enjoy this book. It was well written, despite a couple of typos (and there was a part where the character name was wrong). I like how there is always something happening so you never get bored. The story reminds me a lot of Ao no Exorcist, though. It's a pretty awesome anime, look it up. If you are already a fan of said anime, then you really should read the books in this series.
