A deeply unpleasant piece of gay erotica - not because of its sex but because of the revoltingly sexist, fascist, misogynistic and countless other offensive ways it looks at the world.

The novel revolves around a future were gay men live on an island and, because of stuff (who cares why it is a only an excuse), have the only non poisonous sperm left in the world which they sell to straights from the USA mainland and supply to a Lesbian island to make test tube babies with the women getting to keep the girl babies and boys going to the gay island were they never see or hear of females so grow up to be gay. So whatever happened to gay being something you are born with and not something learnt etc.? Expecting every boy baby to be gay is as offensive as expecting every boy or girl baby to be straight.

What is worse is the island is dominated a coterie of rich older gays and any young man who isn't from a rich family or obviously brainy is encouraged to work as bay boys (hustlers), waiters (hustlers), or join a stud farm were they can be the 'horses' (all animal life has died out or something) and race boys from other stables and in their free time can be, yeah hustlers.

Look I do know that porn/erotic fiction can be based around silly tropes but why anyone would want to read this tale of an exploitative state is beyond me. That the island is supposed to be a gay nirvana doesn't say much for any gay who actually likes this fascistic, misogynistic and totally repellent tale.

I actually owned a copy of this book briefly and threw in the garbage - I never throw books in the garbage but I didn't want anyone else to read this horror.
