Such an oddly written book he started numbering chapters but just gave up after chapter 4. Its tons of info, written before and around 1905, its as if there was a common thread of Maryland pride and patriotism he displays in this random dumping of info gathered from wills and deeds and govt records. Its written like a genealogical study of prominent Anne Arundel families but ends up being a good history of long forgotten nuggets of Maryland lore. Theres no way to give any idea of the common thread of the book as it is so random throughout so ive given it a new title and split the book up into definitive chapters to make it more intelligible. 543 pages.

The title should be,

“A History of Anne Arundel County, Maryland: Sketches of Notable Events, Short Biographies and Governmental Records in a Roughly Chronological Order (1648-1905)”
