Rate this book

Short, casually written book with a lot of jokes and anecdotes. The author also spends a lot of time blatantly explaining how he isn’t just a vulgar stock speculator, but also an admirer of art and generally an impressive person. Purely financial advice are quite scarce – buried under his self-indulgent personal stories and impressions – but are actually mostly sound. He is an autodidact with a mixed fundamental and psychological approach (somewhat more focused on the latter). He is critical of academic economics, quantitative modelling and technical analysis but he doesn’t really go into details when arguing against them. It is a short book, actually quite fun to read, but doesn’t really fit into the category of serious investment literature.
