Nancilee Wydra's book, Feng Shui in the Garden, is out of print but currently available in the used book market. She covers yin/yang, the five elements (with excellent sections on color and shapes), and the bagua along with making suggestions for themed gardens such as a power garden, meditation garden, healing garden, and a fertility garden. The book has excellent information on plants, trees and shrubs in accessible charts that include information about colors, shapes, and other properties of hundreds of plants. Plant suggestions throughout the book are provided by Bidget Skinner, Landscape Designer.

I had high hopes for this book. Turned out not to be quite what I was looking for--parts seemed unbelievably obvious to me, parts seemed unbelievably, well, fung shui focused. I am still hopeful that I can use this book to create a small meditation garden someday, but for now it sits on my shelf.
