About the author

I can't remember not wanting to write books. As an eight-year-old I wrote in bed, under the covers by flashlight in secret. As a teen, I discovered typewriters, and as an adult bought one of the first home computers available. From the beginning my passion was writing about relationships -- the way our lives rub against each other and, in the process, change us in ways both great and small. Relationships change our lives. And so, I am a romance novelist, with a bent toward romantic suspense. I also write family sagas.

Travels throughout the eastern half of the United states, Great Britain,Germany, and Jamaica have given me a wonderful background of "place," which is reflected in all my published novels. The co-mingling of cultures fascinates me.

Three of my garnered a Golden Wings Award for excellence in writing. I've also won or placed in several writing contests. Flight of Angels, Like a River My Love and My Pretty Lady all received four star reviews from the prestigious Romantic Times.

Recently I've published two books that combine family stories with multigeneration romances -- For Thine is the Kingdom and Night Travelers. I enjoy using understated humor, which you'll occassionally find in these books.

Among other things, I've taught creative writing, tutored English at a community college and taught reading at an Adult Learning Center.
