Short but information-rich biography of the social reformer of early Oklahoma. Exciting days of the young progressive state, the takeover by money men who killed good ideas, the Kate’s ill health and discouragement. Kate was able to accomplish amazing works of charity and lead reform efforts. She was persuasive and popular at first in Oklahoma City, then across the country, and even internationally. Men in the government worked to ridicule, stifle and block her work, eventually succeeding.
