Manmohini, a member of the family of Motilal Nehru, father of Jawaharlal Nehru and grandfather of Indira Gandhi, recalls her life, including her years in the anti-British campaign, her prison terms, her marriage and family, and her work in women's organizations and politics.

It got published with the help of American researcher and publisher. It is retraces her life in Allahabad - Anand Bhawan and her father's house at Gerogetown Allahabad, Lahore and post marriages in various cities. She has extensively written about her mother Lado who took the challenge to educate her four daughters so that they become self dependent in their lives. Her daughters were educated in Allahabad where they were exposed to freedom from British rule movement. She shifted to Lahore for better education facilities plus social life including dramas and women's club. She has described her participation in freedom struggle movement as volunteers at Amritsar. She is cousin of Jawahar lal Nehru. She has written about her jail sentence and life in jail. Second, she has written about her posting as teacher in Bihar where the parents showed hesitation in educating their daughters. About her political life, she lost the election. Later she participated in public life. Her achievement is construction of Working Women's hostel in New Delhi.
