Great illustrations, poor English instruction

This book reviews how to draw steampunk illustrations. While the step-by-step sketches do provide a visual instruction on how to make these illustrations steampunk, I found the written instructions more confusing than informative. I believe that English is not the authors first language. This makes it difficult to follow the instructions. But if you're a visual person you could probably get by with just looking at the step-by-step illustrated sketches.
