A city girl at heart, Natasha is taken from her home town of Chicago to a small town against her will. She moves with her father, mother and little brother to the Village of Normal. If that's not bad enough, Natasha is thrust into this mysterious new world where she will face many problems. A mad scientist, a classmate from Mars and her arch nemesis are just a few that make her introduction to Normal Town an exciting disaster. Natasha is on a mission to make a friend in this strange place or convince her parents to move back to Chicago.
It is a good beginner book for 6th to 8th grade students. Especially if they do not have a love for reading. The Normal School also teaches life lessons and offers educational resources such as: vocabulary quiz and reading comprehension exercises. It is also multi-cultural in nature.
