Rate this book
"Miagliano Reawakens to the Magic Touch and Scent of Wool" is an illustrated tale of courage, passion, hard work and love for wool and Miagliano, a village with an impressive industrial heritage, and one of the most beautiful and better preserved post-industrial workers' villages in Italy. Mr. Nigel Thompson, an English entrepreneur, decided to found his wool company, Biella The Wool Company (Btwc) choosing the ancient mill at Miagliano as his headquarters, and established the only European grease wool sorting centre for small woolgrowers. In addition, Mr. Thompson incorporated a short chain supply complete wool production system to process the grease wool into finished products of high quality. The book is intended as an instrument of both the dissemination and the promotion of the knowledge and artistic culture that are flourishing in Miagliano, and as a means to create meaningful links and co-operations with like-minded people the world over.
