"It was the dreaded Morning After. It never quite plays out as beautifully as I imagine this scene to be. I am still a normal girl, after all, and in my head I've blocked it perfectly: We wake up with a slow stretch, cuddle for a few minutes, conduct a short conversation with our husky sleepy voices..."
Even for a struggling actress like 26-year-old Kach, love doesn't come easy. Especially if your timing is off and you miss your cue and forget to deliver the right lines at the right time...
Beautiful, talented and starving, theater actress Kach, who has a real penchant for drama, lives off the refrigerators and affection of her childhood friends: Nats, a chef who has taken it upon herself to play mother to Kach, and Jorge, an overachieving research genius who balances off Kach when she starts overreacting and who gladly supplies much-needed warm hugs when her world - or her tiny Makati apartment - dramatically turns cold.
Now Kach has finally landed a legitimate role costarring an intense, sexy and brooding young stage actor named Sanchez. Their onstage chemistry quickly reaches boiling point and overflows into real-life, and suddenly Kach finds herself in a super-kilig affair, complete with snatches of smooches behind closed stage curtains.
But their romance takes a dramatic turn when Kach discovers that Sanchez isn't tailor-made for the role of her real-life leading man...and that someone else is ready and willing to audition!
Predictable. (I have just read too many romance novels.) Funny. And cute! I love it!
The book is refreshing, light and entertaining. The cultural comments are snappy and far from kitsch. I find it a good introduction to chick lit. It makes me proud to be Filipino.
A good friend of mine told me to just read it. I was scared it will be baduy. But Cosmo Philippines Book Club also recommended it. And I read it with no expectations. I would read it again.
I don't Like the Characters Of Kach She's so Liberated! it so embarrass when she kiss his best friend and make out with his boyfriend Sanchez even tough they have no feelings with that man. grrrr. My Goodness, But the Story is Soooooooooooooo Cute :) Jorge is my ideal man. :*
"It's simply charming to see a man lose himself completely and indulge in a good laugh."
Really enjoyed the author's writing style, albeit I just glanced over some paragraphs as someone who's not really well versed in theatre play and its technicalities. I liked Kach's personality—bubbly—though I won't deny I feel like I'm getting overstimulated just reading from her POV. Sanchez is just plain terrible, a freaking paragon of lasciviousness hand in hand with the blandest personality and terrible temper. This girl Kach's probably just ovulating the whole while.
So, here's another book I bought ten years back but never got to read because I was a trivia junkie, Bible Quiz Bee geek, who performs every time she can in school.
Moving forward, I'm glad I've picked this book just now, just right when I already am a young professional, matured and all... This book will definitely blew me away (not the good way, mind you) had I read this just when I hit puberty.
Okay, erase the awkward scenes and moments here and amp the cute scenes then this would be really my book type. Not that it isn't a nice book. Ah loved eeet. Jorge and Kachin are perfect together, just so you know. I really, really got the feeling that they would end up together:))

I read this book back in college. After I read it again recently, it's feels really weird because the setting is completely different now. it's just weird that there were no facebook back then and fone is just use for text or making calls.
I honestly would've given this just the one star, but I gave it an extra star because I believe this was Cosmo's first foray into the book biz. But would not read this again. :|
Love this book! Has killer lines and quotable quotes. Hate the fact that some author used the wonderful lines into her own story in Wattpad. Which is wrong, oh, so wrong.
I didn't like the attitude of Kach but I might say that her attitude helped a lot for the progress of the story. I love the character of Jorge! I liked it, anyway!
