Testifyin' is like sitting around with your older cousins and/or aunts and they decide to start discussing their life experiences with you. The authors were quite brave and transparent to use their actual lives as the content. They went on to share how they overcame/got through different situations to become the women they are today. This book is their ministry and I'm confident that it'll uplift, encourage, and help the women that read it. 3.5 stars

Testifyin
Get this book! Get this book! I feel as if they are not telling their stories, but mine. You will see yourself in each story. Maybe it will help you to heal from past hurts, pains and wounds or maybe you will learn something about yourself that you never knew. Testifyin lets you know to go and live, enjoy the journey that God has you on, but be wise, listen to the voice of God and pay attention to the signs He sends you.
I wanted to cry aftering reading this, not because it was sad, but I learned that it is okay to make mistakes, just make sure you learn from them. It is ok to fall down, just make sure you get back up and keep moving. It is okay to share your pain, you might save someone's life and it is okay to be angry, just do let it consume you. It is okay if your marriage is not the best, you have everyday to make it better, hang in there. God is in the midst, take His hand and hold on tight, don't let go. As the song says "We Come This Far by Faith". Testify and tell someone your story, it does not have to be the world, it might be your neighbor next door and it may be the healing they need or it may just give you peace to let you know it is okay.

Years ago I heard someone say that the next best thing to going to therapy is to have a good girlfriend. Well, here's two. Ms Angelia and Ms Gabrielle are talking love, dating, marriage, children, etc.
You can save yourself some time and money by hearing what these women have to say. These ladies live their lives devoted to empowering women.
When reading these various topics and these personal testimonies, you will know that you are not alone, and through grace, you will overcome anything. Sound advice, encouragment, and wisdom to deal with life's circumstances is what you will find on the pages of 'Testifyin.'
This book was a joy to read.
