The Tapestry Series #3

Woven Interests

Rate this book
This is an alternate cover edition for B01BECUFE8

Uptight, serious, introvert…those were the words most used to describe James.

The middle brother in the Becker family, owners of a prestigious race horse farm in South Carolina, though austere was covertly a playboy.

Unable to resist a beautiful body, whether male or female, James never had a desire to commit to just one. A consummate player, he had no interest in a relationship.

Never say never. A broken ankle is the catalyst that leads James to considering a relationship. Falling for a man already in a committed relationship with a woman was intricate enough. But the likelihood of their woven interests in each other becoming a real relationship is threatened by shallow judgment, the media and a trouble making former barn hand.

Warning: m/f/m, f/f/m, and m/m romance with strong language and explicit sexual content intended for mature readers only.

I write stories about romance. They center on learning about the characters backgrounds, personalities and life circumstances that mold them into who they are and how they love.

I am a sassy 50-something year old. I live in a quiet farming town in New England with my husband of twenty years and our two rescued cats. After college I facilitated improvement in the physical abilities of children and the elderly then took the opportunity to enjoy my creative side. I love to sew, knit, write...sing and drink martinis (not necessarily at the same time).

****5 STAR REVIEW****

James is the middle child of a close knit family. His family owns and operates a successful horse racing farm in South Carolina. James has always been different then his older brother, Cole and younger sister, Audra. James is a beautiful man with a gorgeous heart and body, and is the consummate playboy. James enjoys beauty in all forms and fashion, both men and woman, and hopes to keep 'playing' for a very long time. He has no plans to settle down like his siblings.

When James goes to friend’s house to comfort him after a broken ankle, he gets more than what he bargained for. There he meets Remy, a hunk of a man. Only one problem, Remy has a girlfriend. James can't understand why he has such an attraction to this man. He knows Remy feels it too. James does everything he can to avoid Remy, but when the inevitable happens their feelings can't be denied. What's even more amazing is how he's taken with Savine, Remy's girl.
Can James be in relationship that he never wanted in the first place? Can he really handle a relationship with both Remy and Savine? Can the narrow minds of the community he lives in just let them be together?

This was a great third book for this series, things are really starting to come together for this family and I can't wait to read what happens next! They have found a place in my heart and I can't help but champion them and see the continuation of their stories.

This is a first time read for author Natalie Alder and I was very impressed. I think she has a unique style and perspective for families and their shared experiences. Natalie's definitely one to watch for with her new releases and even past books. I've read all the books in this story and they just keep getting better and better!!

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an HONEST review*

Of the series so far, I think this one is my favorite! There was a bit more sexy times than I was expecting, but that's my own fault for not paying attention haha. I loved that there was some beautiful diversity pulled into the mix, done tastefully and not as though it was put in just to say it was there. It fit the story and the character just right, and felt natural. I also love that we still get to have little peeks and updates about our previous characters, so that everything is intertwined and worked together. We still get to see what's going on at the ranch some, and I'm really glad and impressed that she's kept the books in line with the family. It's a really good series. If you're thinking about reading these, I say go for it!

Well lucky me I read this series out of order lol. No worries I still was able to have a clear understanding of this series and the characters since there is enough references to them.

I just loved this novel and hope to pick up the rest so I can see what happens. James is a great character wile and free lol. This is a normal family with normal situations. This was a great read for me even though I skipped one and two. I love the twist in it as he has difficult choices to make.

This is a great book for you to read in one sitting if your the type of person who thinks outside the box ;) Highly recommend and this novel was a great read for me as I was rooting for James to make the right choice.

Woven Interest by Natalie Alder is book 3 in the Tapestry Series. To be honest, when I started reading it I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I didn’t read the synopsis so I was a little shocked about the different sexual content between the characters. At first, I wanted to put it down and not continue because that is something I don’t read everyday. I’m glad that I continued on with the story though. Natalie writes with great detail and her characters are well built together that when you are reading about them they seem to be real life. Natalie has become an author that I like and I don’t even read the Synopsis anymore of her books.
Woven Interest is about James story. James Becker is the middle child of the Becker family. He helps out his father on the Bridgeton Pass Farm. He likes to play polo with his teammate and friend Austen Cleary. James is attracted to both male and females. Will James be in a relationship? You’ll have to read this book to find out.
I like how Natalie brings other characters from previous book in the series to this one. William, Audra and J.P., Cole and Sara, Casey and Tanner.
The new characters in this book are Remy who’s a clothing designer. Savine a supermodel who is also Remy’s girlfriend and Austen.

I was kindly given a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
4.5/5 Stars!

Quotes/parts of the story I like:
“I’m cute like a puppy. Come on, invite me to go out with you tonight. I’m in desperate need of some socialization, booze and entertainment. Carnegie is no Paris.”
“No one thought to ask you how you were doing. How you were handling these milestones in your children’s lives without Mom here. I’m sorry that you were alone and struggling last evening.”
“Look, I don’t know anything for certain. I’ve never felt anything like this, I’ve ever been interested in two people at the same time…I don’t know what to do with these feelings. I do know that I want you very badly tonight and I do not feel guilty or as though I’m cheating on Savine. I know she likes you a lot. I almost feel like she’d encourage this. I know when she kissed you the night you came to Austen’s for dinner and I was right there, a few inches away, watching her kiss you so passionately I got so f***ing hard. That was the most beautiful, most erotic sight to see my woman kissing another man we both desire. I know Savine, I know her kisses. She kissed you with love and passion that night. It was amazing to watch. I wasn’t the least bit jealous. I thought it was beautiful. It turned me on.”

I have so enjoyed this series from the first book to this one which touch on a few touchy issues which the author does in style. I have to say I picked up this book without reading the book description and was a little surprised when it took a turn. This series I can relate to it is a normal family with normal issues. The stories are very believable with wonderful characters. This is a genre that is a little out of my normal with that said here is my review.

I just knew the wild child James would have a wonderful story to tell he isn’t into relationships just into bootie calls. I really think he is just trying to find his way in a world where his life style still is frowned on. I really loved this character with his easy ways and his love for life his whole world is about to change from his easy going style to a very stressful one with people who hate a type they are unsure of or different from their own. The author gives the facts in a delight love story as she takes you through James finding his way to what truly makes him happy. Losing friends or dealing with bias people is never easy as he finds out. He will have to make choice when his woven interests weave into someone else relationship. He does his best but the pull is great and the passion even greater.

The characters are wonderful the plot is great. The family and their support are outstanding. You get to revisit with some characters in the past see things from a different point of view. The author touches on things that happen in each book but it isn’t word for word nor is it a repeat just a touch that reminds you of things you might have forgotten. I loved this it is away from me to remember without it being to heavy. I did enjoy this read when I thought I might not the author gives you some wonderful passionate scenes but not over heavy. She gives a wonderful story of three people finding what makes them happy as they deal with the issues life gives them. If you are into m/f/m, f/f/m, and m/m romance with strong language and explicit sexual content then you should give this book a read. If I found this a great read.

I love this series! James has been my favorite character since book one. The Becker family is loving and supportive of one another, but still have their issues. Natalie Alder does an amazing job telling this families story. The story line is fascinating, and absolutely reels you in from the very first word. Woven Interests is the steamiest of the three books so far. It deals with complicated issues in a remarkably easy to read story. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. Definitely a must read.

'Woven Interests' (The Tapestry Series Book 3) by Natalie Alder is a great read. This is James' story. I enjoyed reading about James, Remy and Savine. As well as reading more about Audra, J.P., Cole, Sara, William, and all the others we've met so far. Excellent addition to the Tapestry Series. This is my favorite book so far in this series. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. This story has drama, family dynamics, romance, passion. Wow! Recommend to all fans of romance.

Beautifully written

This was a beautifully written story of an unconventional relationship. Natalie Alder created characters that I laughed with, cried with and got angry with. Loved this book!
