Overwhelmed, stressed and wondering how you are going to cope with yet another change at work?

Change is one of the laws of our world--as concrete as the laws of gravity or motion. So long as we're living, breathing, and moving through life, change is inevitable. It is a constant for everyone; something we need to deal with in every aspect of our lives. The problem is that we tend to think of change in a negative way.

Change expert, Rosalind Cardinal, wants to help you discover a different way to approach change in your life. She asserts, when we master our mindset and take back control of our reactions, we can use change for our benefit--both as a wellspring of invaluable lessons and as a launch pad to greatness.

In The Resilient Employee, she'll show you the exact strategies and techniques she's shared with a range of organisations over the last decade. You'll discover a range of tools that will allow you to transform change from your biggest enemy to your greatest ally.

When you apply these strategies and techniques into your life, your entire experience of change will be different--your thoughts, your reactions and your ability to move through the stages of change successfully. You will be a stronger, more adaptable, more resilient person who doesn't simply survive change, but thrives in change!

3.5 round up; decent read on the book's title. I was hoping to find some words in it that might be applicable to the HUGE change regarding work c/o covid-19... perhaps I suppose depending on to what extent. And whereas it was written for/about business operations in Australia, seeing the similarities to USA was kinda nice to know if one ever had to engage in international commerce between the two countries, there likely would be little difficulty doing so.

The Resilient Employee, while geared toward workplace staff undergoing organisational changes of varying kinds, is without a doubt a must-have tool for navigating change not just in your professional life, but in your personal life as well. The fact of the matter, as TRE puts it, is that so long as you're living and breathing, you're bound to go through changes in life. Changes are pretty much inescapable. The problem is that most people simply don't know how to deal with change, and as a result, we either remain stagnant in stages of life we've already outgrown or we end up unhappy in our present circumstances because we don't know how to make the most of a change. TRE is so informative in that it not only equips and empowers you with the tools and strategies you need to flourish in change, but it also shows you how to learn from change, how to be self-aware in change, how to be resilient before, during, and after change...and more! It's an incredibly comprehensive book, and I highly recommend it as a go-to manual for 'doing life'. I can see it being immensely beneficial to organisations who might want to consider arming each of their employees with a copy of the book -- especially if important changes are on the horizon. But I also recommend it to the every-day person who may not be a part of a corporate conglomerate, but still faces changes day-in and day-out. Ros Cardinal's conversational style makes the material engaging, easy to understand, and relatable, which is not surprising--she's an award-winning coach, a consultant, and a sought-after speaker on the subject of change! You will learn so much and grow by leagues as a result of reading this book!
