A simple read that will introduce the students to "baseball great" Jackie Robinson and his life. The book tells the highlights of his career and briefly describes racism. The historical photos show photos of Robinson playing baseball and examples of segregation. The book ends with an addendum including stats, key dates, an index and a glossary. There is also a website provided for a classroom extension of the lesson.
