“Chefs from all around the world make these classics, I hope you will too ~ Mario"
Often, I have said I can read a cookbook like a novel - I just love going through a cookbook and contemplating the ingredients and techniques. Because of that attitude, I didn't think I would be bothered by lack of photos for the recipes, but I was. It seemed a bit like reading a decorating magazine with a description of an interior, without the visual.
Despite that, the book is well done, with lots of intriguing recipes, and more than a few new approaches for this home cook. Well done.
Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of the book by the author for review.
Lots of good tips and advice along with 20 classic recipes make for a wonderful cookbook. The writing is easy going and doesn't make assumptions that you are a master chef. The basics of making the dough for the pasta are clear and easy to follow, for example. I wanted to just start cooking from the beginning and not stop until I had tried all of the recipes in one night. I highly recommend it.
Have you ever wanted to cook genuine Italian food. Then this is the book for you. Not only do you get recipes, but you get information on how to cook food to make it better. You will not be disappointed with this book.
