This was a fascinating book. Published in 1913 it throws some amusing insights into the mix. We're told how the modern four act structure still has the traditional five act structure hidden within it :) , and we're told of the difficulty of getting older people (ie. mature people) to go to the theatre. How things change... :D It's still worth buying, because many of the insights are still useful, and it does give a perrspective on changes that have happened in the last 100 years.
