If I had to list one series of books that greatly impacted me in my childhood, the spot definitely goes to the Princess Power series. A fun take on what princesses with special gifts can do, with interesting illustrations and giddy ways of going about things, I highly recommend this book to girls of all ages who want to go back to the simplicity of happily ever after, with twists and turns every bit of the way! It is the start to a friendship though, and so far no exceedingly intriguing figures come into the picture, but I guarantee that the first book to a fun-filled series is a worthwhile read!

In this first one, the girls become friends and find the perfect prince for Lysandra's very proper sister.
