I don't want to read these kinds of books anymore so I didn't want to like it. I read it in Women's Bible Study at church led by Diane Borja. Take time to thoughtfully work through the book and then practice it in life. It was worth the read for me.

I received an advance copy of this book as part of the "launch team". This is an honest rating and review, not influenced by the authors or launch team leaders:

This quote from the book tells you the authors' goal. They walk you through four steps of prayer, demonstrate how to pray with Scripture, and provide numerous testimonies (their own and those of several other women) showing how to remain unshaken in spite of your circumstances. Supporting Bible verses are included throughout the book. As you read Unshaken you will learn how to enrich your prayer life and strengthen your faith.

“Prayer is not simply an invitation to action; it’s the invitation to a way of life.” I feel this quote from Unshaken is a great way to summarize the premise of the book. The authors do a fantastic job of both laying out in simple terms the way to pray and giving the reader examples in the form of personal stories and easy exercises. The authors also do a wonderful job of showing how a life of prayer can greatly change our outlook on our circumstances, and thereby change our lives and the lives of those for whom we pray. This book has encouraged me to pray God’s Word boldly and expectantly. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to strengthen their prayer life or just learn more about prayer.
