This is a review of the 48 page guide book available at the on site English Heritage shop at the abbey.
It’s a guide book, but if we do not review them they never improve.

As it happens this is a really good example of a comprehensive guide to a site, little of which remains.
Well written, packed with a wealth of information and accompanying photographs it’s a must for visitors to St Augustine’s Abbey.
