The Author

My current fiction work is in the contemporary romance and romantic suspense genres, with an upcoming psychological thriller series in progress as well. I'm a dedicated indie press author (and some would say control freak), and a proud member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), Sacramento Valley Rose, Rose City Romance Writers, Greater Seattle RWA, Contemporary Romance Writers, Kiss of Death, and the Northwest Independent Writers Association (NIWA).

For over 19 years, my husband John and I lived on a ranch where we used to raise llamas. After becoming livestock-free, we spent our time taking cruises, gardening, creating yummy dinners, and keeping our dog-kids happy. We recently relocated to northern Oregon outside of Portland, and we're happily submersing ourselves in the foodie, outdoor and entertainment culture.

My Kindle Fire is never far from my side, often stacked on top of a big pile of must-read paper books and magazines that serve as ongoing inspiration for story ideas. In case those ideas occur when I'm away from my laptop or tablet, I keep a well-worn notebook in my purse to jot down characters and scenes based on the world around me. After all, everyone and everything might be the source of the next great plot inspiration!


The Flynn's Crossing Series

Yvonne enjoys channeling her characters' voices and passions as they overcome real world problems and discover love. Her Flynn's Crossing contemporary romance series is set in a fictional northern California foothills town not unlike the one where she used to live. Of course, the beauty and wonders of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the surrounding counties play costarring roles in her work.

The first six books in the Flynn's Crossing series follow the developing love interests of the girl tribe, a group of successful women who work through real world conflicts and challenges to find acceptance and love - with some suspenseful happenings thrown in! In the next six books, the wolf pack of single guys in the area find their true loves, but not without their own issues to conquer. Periodically, Yvonne will be adding seasonal novellas to the series, featuring the first person voice of a character from one of her previous books experiencing an event that we can all relate to.
