New Adult Romance author. Reading was my earliest passion, often seeking the sanctuary of my room or the library to read everything I could get my hands on. I penned romantic poetry in high school and was winning school awards for my short stories at 16. In college I would hibernate in the library for days at a time, consuming every short story and novel I could find.

I probably drink too much coffee and eat too much junk food, but to compensate do like running and rollerblading outdoors when the weather is nice. I'm a hopeful romantic who prefers stories with a happy ending. You can often find me in a library or coffee shop working on my next story, or with my nose in a book.

Fun and flirty, this is the life of three friends in college enjoying their last year with their "catch and release" program. Katherine, Chelsea, and Alyssa all enjoy finding their newest flavor and then letting them go. But things are a little different in this last year. New acquaintances, old boyfriends and real feelings come into play and life isn't as easy. But are the rewards worth it? This first book in the Playgirls series is how I remember college life for some. The parties and hookups, and different personalities all leading to excitement. The main thing I enjoyed about the listen is the real friendships the girls have and how they look out for each other. I can't wait to see where life takes them now that they are graduated.

Laurie West takes us to school with her amazing voices. She is a consummate storyteller and brings it all to life. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Not the typical story that I would read but very enjoyable. Three girls friends from when they were young and now in college and looking to have a good time. No serious relationships, just "catch and release" is their motto. Just enjoying life and having a good time. Who among the three will catch and release the most? The Playgirls 1 was an enjoyable read with no heartaches, no drama and no sadness. Really what college should be about. Before graduating and "becoming a grownup" enjoy all that life has to offer. There will be time for serious relationships, but now is the time to take advantage and have a good time.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Three young women getting together can spell trouble. Especially if they agree to the "Catch and Release" game they are playing. The author did a great job of creating a situation for three young ladies that could possibly backfire on each of them. The author created a suspense that continues to grow in the two more books in this series. She sets up the story perfectly. The listener/reader has to continue to find out what happens to these three young ladies as they go out into the world after college. The narrator did a great job with the characters of these three girls and the men they encounter.
