I really enjoyed this book. It's all about second-chance love, survival, trust, loyalty, friendship, family and finding strength within yourself. The girls in this story, Jem, Tonya & Lola are really inspiring characters with the amount of strength the display in taking on their trials head on and doing what's right. I do feel bad for the character Nate just because he really does have to go through a lot. Not that the girls don't. I don't know, he just seems to always be stuck in the middle somehow but, he does gets his hearts desire by the end and that's really all that matters. Well done, Marci.

Nate and Jem were high school sweethearts and they did a movie together, both young singers in the business, and very much together. Jem and Nate were in a particularity hot make out session and Nate took it a step further than ever before. He found his way to her chest when Jem suddenly broke away from him and broke up with him the following day.

Fast forward and they both are scheduled on a cruise ship to perform.

Jem to boost her career and Nate to stop his self-destructive behavior sinking his career.

If that isn't enough, Tonya Becker, the girl always jealous and hateful to Jem is there.
Last to join the group of singers is a young up and coming singer named Lola. She befriends Jem almost immediately as she heard crying in their shared bathroom and found Jem there.

Jem, Nate and then Tonya came along and they were all part of the same company when they first started out.
She's always has been jealous of Nate and Jem being together, so she tries to insinuate herself into their relationship every chance she gets.

After Jem suddenly broke up with Nate when they were doing a movie together, she found a different manager to guide her career. Nate as well as Tonya changed managers too as they all represented different music styles.
Along comes Lola who happens to be represented by Cole, the same manager they all had when they first started out.

Jem upon learning of Cole seems to shut down momentarily, but recovers by telling Lola it's because she's tired.
Somehow Jem has to get make sure Lola knows about what Cole is really capable of. Cole isn't as nice as he seems. She knows she'll have to have a talk with her before the end of the cruise.

They have a dinner to introduce all the singers and Tonya goes to work being nasty to Jem before they get there and practically purrs a greeting to Nate when she arrives behind Jem and Lola.

Jem and Nate each have their work cut out for them individually and together in respect to trying to find their way back to one another again.

Secrets and stories that should've been told before now are being held by everyone, including the newest singer Lola.

It all plays out to a direction I hadn't anticipated.
I recommend you read this story for yourself.
You won't be disappointed.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Jem is a squeaky clean, all American Country music star. She is known for her good girl image. So why is her manager lining her up on a cruise ship for a gig, oh yeah and by the way a new wardrobe and make up.....not the good girl image she is known for and it makes her uncomfortable. To make matters worse she has to share the spotlight with her ex - a rockstar who has fallen off the grace wagon. She still misses him like crazy but this is too much. But she adores her fans and will do anything she is asked to keep her music alive (if she even makes it out of this situation at all.)

Nathan is the rock star fallen and tarnished a bit, not a has been but well on that road due to his heavy drinking. His manager has had enough of the bad boy and all the crap that is coming along with that image. Time to clean him up and put him back on top. So when Nathan is told he is set up for a gig on this cruise ship. he thinks awesome. Then the bomb drops doubly hard, no alcohol at all, and you will be sharing the spot light with Jem. Will he get answers from her about why they ended the way they did?

It starts off rocky from the start, she tries to ignore him at all costs, he is intrigued and really misses her. He tries to be friendly and all but it is not really working. Then events start to happen some good but with the price of the really bad things that happen first. Jem and Nathan start talking and things go from there. However there is still a secret that is lingering. Jem doesn't say anything because she thinks he will leave her and really none of it is her fault. Nathan could care less what this is about he wants her back in his life for good. Then bomb after bomb start dropping and it is a bumpy road to say the very least. But they do win out over the dark clouds over them, and soon they are smiling and seeing nothing but love and blue skies.

How many chances at pecan two playing people get before something gets cemented. How many times can a girl have self hate with what happens to or around her. This was a very very good story of younger love, New love and not all pop stars are self absessed idiots, this is a group of people that have thing in common and will do anything to set wrongs right.
Jen a country pop singer always was the good girl of music and when she made a movie, romantic one, she met a young up incoming bad boy singer Nate. They had sparks a connection but she was having a very bad time in her life and it wasn't just losing her father and disconnecting from her mother but a bad thing from her then manager.
Years later both Jen and Nate live their lives differently, her still projecting the good girl and Nate as the playboy. Her manager forces her on a cruise ship and told to sex up her image. How much can a country pop artist sex up with out being slutty?
Nate is force on the same cruise ship and he is forces to 'clean up' his image, he's the one that drinks until passed out... sleeping with all kinds of women... but how s plates 'fling' is a certain call girl that ruines careers of any one she slept with, and Nate was her latest. Hence the clean up his act. But the next that got away after all these years is the one he still loves and pines after and when he sees Jem on the ship he knows that he will to the bottom of their younger split and he will get her to be his before the end of the cruise contract.
What never one expected is their second chance at love will have so any hurdles that have to jump before they can temp fate and be together. Does end in a HEA for not just the main couple but for their friends also.

I want to say I love being able to find new authors that I look forward to reading. This is a new author that I really enjoyed reading and look forward to reading more of. Nice job Marci Fawn, you have another loyal reader.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. And an honest review is what this book will get.

I am a sucker for a great bad boy romance book and this is one of the best I have read lately. I loved that this book was set around a group of singers dealing with real situations. I did not know what to expect from this book because I had never read a book by Marci Fawn before and thought that this would be a great introduction to her books. Now that I had read this book I am going to have to read more and more of them.

I found the characters to be well developed and real. Their fears, hopes, dreams, thoughts, and emotions were real and things that I have either felt or know someone who has. They were complex but not overly complex that they were unrelatable (sp?).

There was one character that I just wanted to strangle because people like him make me so angry and don't deserve to be free. I was so glad that he got what he deserved though I wish that it had happened sooner. The suspense of it all made it a great book.

It is a book I would recommend and was a great read! I look forward to reading it again.

Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review.
Oh Nate..Oh Jem. This poor couple has had such a rollercoaster of a ride in life and all they want to do is be together.
Jem an up and coming singer loved Nate , a rock singer but had certain secret issues that she could not reveal to him which made her leave. Why!!! Now they are both scheduled to sing on the same cruise ship. OMG..what will she do now. At first, Jems emotions are all over the place but as the story goes along , you realise why. Nate is confused with Jems behaviour over the years and wonders what's going on. With having to deal with Nates ex girlfriend Tonya, drunken behaviour and secrets of her own , it makes you wonder how Jem copes .
Making new friends with Lola is a godsend but Jem, Lola and an ex girlfriend, Tonya all have a story to tell. A story of love, hope, dreams, threats, abuse and so much more. Loved it.

This author's stories really tug at your heart strings. This is the second book I have read by her. Amazing. Her stories delve into real life problems, and how love can overcome and heal. Jem and Nate met as teenagers on the set of a movie. They are both singers also. Something awful happened to Jem, and she pushed Nate away. In his misery he became a drunken, man whoring, rock star, in a downward spiral. Years later they meet, and still love each other, but they have to reveal their secrets and forgive each other. Outside influences however, keep thwarting their relationship. This story deals with a serious issue that many young women deal with, who have no one to protect and council them. The ending was happy but surprising, and people you think are you enemies just might be your best friend.

I recommend this book. In my opinion it is a great second chance romance with suspense, emotion and romance. Jem is an up and coming singer with secrets that have caused issues with her relationship with Nathan. Nathan is an up and coming rock star who is still in love with Jem and can't figure out what he did to cause her to run from him. They are both told their images need make over. She is too wholesome and he is much of a partying man-whore. They end up on a cruise together that brings them closer while also threatening to cause them to hate each other.
A great second chance romance with parting rock stars, high class call girls, enemies and virgins.

I received an ARC for an honest review:

Up until about 14% of this book I was very bored. I truly liked the plot & the characters but at times it seemed to drag and then it was moving at warp speed. I get that Jem & Tonya bonded over something they both went through but I feel like Jem trusted Tonya way too quickly after so much animosity. Additionally, she referred to Lola as her best friend after knowing her for only a few days. I would have liked a little more focus on Nate & Jem reconnecting before all these misfortunes were thrown at them but I'm a sucker for a HEA with no cliffhanger, so it was ok.

Nathan and Jem find themselves together after she ended the relationship. They are going in very different directions now. He is the player that needs to calm down the antics and she is the sweetheart that needs a little more fun. Being in proximity is difficult for them both. It gives them a second chance but they have to open up and share some truths to get where they need to be. They also have someone intending to keep them apart.

It is a very good story and I enjoyed it. The characters are well-written. It is a thoughtful story about the struggle to make it all work.

Jem is a whole sum all American Country music star. Jem is known for her good girl image. Jem's manager changes Jem's image to a more sexy image to make sales. Jem and Nate managers have booked them on the same cruise and neither knows what to expect. Jem and Nate are both up and coming singers. Nate is an up coming Rock star. Nate knows how to act the part of the bad boy rock star. Nate was never told that Tonya was going to be on the cruise. Jem's enemy Tonya that Nate slept with was going to be on the ship as well. Tonya wants Nate but Nate wants Jem. This book was very enjoyable to read. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one! Jem and Nathan were together and then one day, she broke it off. Now they are in a situation where they are around each other again. Nathan has changed, he is now a bad boy rockstar but does he still care for Jem? So many situations around them trying to mold them into what to do. Who will win? Is the heart stronger than anything around them trying to keep them apart? I enjoyed this story of second changes and finding inner strength. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Marci Fawn doesn't disappoint with her latest book. Nathan and Jem used to be together, but when Jem ended things suddenly Nathan turned into the bad boy rock star that we meet in the beginning. After being booked to preform on the same cruise ship the relationship rekindles, but there appears to be roadblocks every where they turn. These two have to fit to make it out on the other side of one scandal after another to end up where they always belonged, together. I loved this story. VEry different from Marci Fawn previous books but it really was a great book. A breath of fresh air and one where you get to anticepate what is going to happen next. Loved Jem, Nat, Tonya and Lola they were amazing and brillaint.

The story was great some slow paced some fast paced chapters but it really is worth a read. I recieved this in exchange for an honest review. Nat and Jem are 2 lost loves that broke up, with the past holding Jem back and nats destructive was it becomes a roller coaster of emotions and ups and downs.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Jem and Nathan are two young singers that were once young lovers, but Jem ran away from the relationship when things were heating up! Nathan is now the bad boy rockstar and Jem is the sweet country singer, two performers two worlds apart. The story leads you through events that make you wonder if they will ever be given a chance to be together. Another well written book by Marci Fawn/Alyssa Alpha.

Rebel Rockstar by Marci Fawn was a great read. I really enjoyed em and Nate's story. Jim is a country singer who gets booked to play on a cruise ship with her ex boyfriend Nate. Nate is a rock star with a rebel streak. This was a great book of their trials and tribulations of getting together for the long run. There was a bonus book included named Boxer Beast. I love Marci Fawn's writing and can't wait to read more of her books.

Was a really good story which is why I gave it this rating. The main characters have issues and it's hard for them to be together, people get in the way, secrets keep them apart. They finally throw caution to the wind and make a go of it. My only complaint was it felt forced. It was well written and wasn't missing any key points, I just felt like I read this story before.

This story shows the biz side of showbiz. Performers having to look, or do as their management tells them so they can have a successful career. Unfortunately, not all managers have a performers best interests at heart. In this story, these performers have each other. And some relationships are truly unbreakable. I really liked this story, and I loved the ending.

Pretty good read. The characters are young, a little immature in some areas & face lots of drama. Plot deals with the hooks & crooks of the music industry. Jem seems very weepy & too trusting, Nate is a hot mess, Tonya did an about-face so quick I was shocked, Lola seems way too young & needs guidance much more than a best friend.

second book I've read by this author. I'm sorry. I hate to bash authors. I have incredible respect for authors who write & put themselves out there. this is well written. I've got to give credit for that. but these characters are so immature. I got about 30% in & set it down.

Nate is a rockstar and Jem is a country singer who used to date until Jem breaks up with him suddenly. After sometime apart, they are reunited on a cruise where they are both performing. They get a second chance at love. This book had some drama and struggles for them to overcome. I thought their relationship was sweet and I didn't think that Nate was a badboy! I really enjoyed this book!

A great read! Even though the characters were young, I enjoyed reading this story. Yes, Nate needed a back-bone periodically in the story, everything came out in the end. The conflicts throughout the story were well thought out and believable. I loved how everyone came together as a united front at the end!

Heart-warming and quick angsty story that will keep you glued to your reader. It's heartbreaking, intriguing and sweet all at the same time.

I am getting a younger vibe from the characters, though - by their actions, reactions and dialogues. But the issues are somehow relevant and timely.
