Yes I enjoyed reading this book very much. The story was interesting from start to finish. Very little repetition. I like Epilogues so I would have liked to read about all the loose ends tied together, like them telling the children about getting married, how many children were born, Beulah and Jim's baby being born, Josh getting hung, them fixing up the ranch - things like that. But all in all a good story.
The story moved briskly with good characters and a consistent plot. The man with no name is a little overused, but worked here. Too bad about the sheep herders. The only point that stretched plausibility was when Sundown allowed himself to be lassoed and dragged. A former sheriff would have known better.
Just out right repetative and then gives up on its twist with one of the laziest wrap ups I've read in some time. The writing isnt particularly any good, it follows typical cliches of western lore and is way too short to have a story that will come together and reach the arc its going for in a satisfying way.
So far every book I've read by this author has been great! The characters are well thought out and display courage and the ability to handle any problem. I think everyone would appreciate such good books.
A truly great read with all of the action and adventure you love in the old west tales. A different spin give the story a mystery to solve that keeps the pages turning.
Hard to chase down a killer when you are shot and grazed in the head and you have amnesia. Serial killers are in westerns to. Can’t give away secrets. Must read.
A damn decent western. A bit predictable and sometimes out of imagination, but my comparisons are always to Louis LaMour so it’s a hard trail to follow.
I enjoyed the characters and the evolving plot. Overall a damn good read.
