Gerald wanted to offer for Miss Stowe but she had many suitors, all of whom of wealth and rank so that Gerald was kicked aside by her father. Then he tried to take her to Gretna Green but her brothers interfered.
Now, Aiden, Gerald’s brother is out for revenge.

Characters?
Gerald’s chosen one, Kat,… Well, I was really disappointed…
I was first shocked that Kat would be the same one who will be in love with Gerald’s brother Aiden. But fortunately, I was wrong in that assumption.
Cause that would have been a no-go.
So Kat… the way she acted when her brothers found them on the way to Gretna Green?
She is way too placid. She knows that he was beaten up, she doesn’t even say goodbye, doesn’t show him that she cares, that she wants him too…
I am also disappointed that Gerald never gets a happy ending. Sure, for Kat everything turns out to be fine but Gerald?? My heart broke for him. Felt so sorry for him.

Aiden… well, difficult to say. I wouldn’t blame him for seeking revenge and I like that he seeks the girl out who supposedly did this to his brother who is now a melancholic fool. But when he finally sees to whom he really did it?? How can it take him THAT LONG (=3 months) to act? He’s such a huge ass it’s unbelievable…
He behaved ungentlemanly and was a bastard. And he didn’t even try to rectify it on his own, no he waited until it became public knowledge. Jerk...

Anyways, it took me some time to like him. Cause surprisingly, he isn’t so bad after all. But I didn’t like that he screwed it up again by keeping secrets and by not telling Miranda what he knew about her father and stuff… Not cool, dude.

Miranda?
I like that she won’t have him when he is being arrogant and self-centered and the bastard he was. She’s a lot of strength.

Writing style?
Soo many mistakes… though – through. And you never know whether they talk now or not… Quotation marks were missing...
