Woods

Rate this book
Lauren has lived with Mark 'Woods' Davies since the age of 14 after the death of their parents. Never did he dream of being responsible for something so precious at such a young age but Woods is determined to protect Lauren and keep her safe from everything.

Concerned for Lauren's wellbeing because of the way she's distanced herself from the world, Woods calls upon the help of the females involved in the club to try and support Lauren and to get her to open up and enjoy herself.

Lauren reluctantly attends a club party and quickly feels uncomfortable regarding the attention she attracts but seeks solace in Ramsey's company when Woods can't be found. They instantly connect and Lauren finds that she can relax and be herself around Ramsey without being judged or pitied and for the first time in weeks she enjoys herself but their time together is cut short. Although Lauren would prefer to stay and continue her conversation with Ramsey, Brooke persuades Lauren to attend a friend's party out of town. Lauren's naivety puts her in danger and the horrific turn of events that follow create life changing consequences.

Woods secretly rekindles his relationship with Chloe as the pull between them is too strong but with the ever increasing club members awareness of their attraction towards each other, how long can it possibly stay a secret? If their relationship were to be revealed, would Duke appreciate the defiance shown by a club member and would Hound be able to cope with another family issue after the recent events involving Paige and Jayden?

When Lauren's secret is publicly revealed, Woods automatically thinks that Ramsey is the perpetrator rather than her saviour and assaults him but Ramsey is prepared to fight for her honour. Woods blames himself for focussing his attention on Chloe and missing the tell tale signs that may have alerted him to Lauren's heartache sooner. Will his relationship with Chloe be strong enough to withstand the pressure from the club and the internal struggle Woods has to deal with for blaming himself for Lauren's situation?

Note to readers:

This is not your normal MC series. The Aces are an MC with alpha males but the members do not shy away from the fact that they are husbands, fathers and lovers with feelings. If you don’t like a biker who cares and respects his woman, then this isn't a book for you.

I want to take the time to mention that I’m from the United Kingdom and use UK spellings.

To receive the full experience of the Aces MC Series, it's recommended that you read the stories in the following order:

Diesel – Book 1
Duke - Book 2
Paige and Chloe - Book 2.5
Spike - Book 3
Amy - Book 3.5
Locke - Book 4
Jayden - Book 4.5

I've always had an overly imaginative and creative mind and although I've managed to maintain my sanity regardless of my career choice (teaching), I've decided to channel that creativity in other ways. Never had I thought of writing a book, until 2014 and I'm pleased that I did.

I hope to entertain those who enjoy gritty romance stories with domineering men and strong women.

I like to think I have a certain edge over other MC authors because of my family ties to an MC in the UK, which help to keep my books realistic (to a certain degree!) and not shy away from the fact that these club members although alpha male, are still husbands, fathers and lovers with feelings.

Thank you to all that read my books and support me in pursuing my dream.

I hope my readers enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

**ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**

I loved wood's book, even when aimee decided she was going to chew us up and spit us out once again, I never thought anything could hurt worst then locke's story but this may top it. Though I will say I don't feel like this was woods book I felt like this was more Laurens story with wood and chloes story running in the background which wasn't a bad thing per say because I understand we need Laurens story in order to get a better understanding of wood but I guess what I'm saying is I'm just hoping we'll get to see more of there story in depth in the future because I felt like they were also running in the background in paige and chloes book as well.
Anyway moving on..Back to what I was saying I loved the book..Laurens story even though it was tragic and heartbreaking from the start I felt like she really showed a whole other side to the way people react when tradgidy strikes them, she never gave up never let anything or anyone stand in the way of what she wanted and what she believed in, I believe she truly showed us how to never stop fighting even when most would crumble. Oh and one last thing revenge was such sweet sweet pleasure..lol..I'll let you figure that one out. Anyway that's all your gonna get from me no real spoilers from me sorry im not a fan of giving you all the goods :)
Thank you again aimee for an amazing book I can't wait to read cj's story and what other books you may give us in the future.

Aimee Louise Foster has done it again yet another brilliant book in the Aces MC Series.
Woods is a book that you will pick up and not want to put down until you have finished it. It is absolutely Fanfreakingtastic. If you are anything like me you will be drawn into this book from page one and still be in it at the end of the book. It is that good.
It is full of twist and turns with a few surprises that you won't see coming. Woods has always been on off my favourite characters in previous books, I have to admit it hasn't changed as I was told I would love him more after I had read this book and that is oh so true.
I will just warn you though you might need to have some tissues close by. Every emotion that you can think of you will feel in this book and just when you start to think right we are back to where our emotions are back in some kind of order you will go through it all again.
As always Aimee you have written another book where all the characters are really great but I have to say there is one character that I really want to punch.
Thank you for a truly awesome book.
Looking forward to the next one now.

OMFG... HOLY S**T... WOW!!! This book has taken me on one hell of a rollercoaster ride with every damn emotion possible and then after it took the last of the breath from my lungs... It knocked me on my ass... And then done it all over again!!!
This is Woods story alongside his younger sister, Lauren...
I refuse to give away spoilers which is extremely difficult with such a heart gripping story... So i will just state... I truly recommend for everyone... Read this book ASAP!!!
With twists and turns throughout the book you will be gripped from beginning to end... And you will totally fall in love with the characters...
Everything about it is spot on from the flow to the direction... And you won't be able to put it down once you start!!!... I couldn't!!!
Another kickass book from Ms Foster and a fantastic addition to a brilliant series... I really can't wait to see what she has planned next... One thing i can guarantee... It will be explosive!!!

Another superb book from a talented UK author. This book gives you all your emotions in one, one minute your in tears the next your wanting justice and the anger emotion kicks in.

I have fallen for yet another ACES member but which one? This book is a brother and sister story about being there for one another through good times and bad. How a club can bring everyone together and seek justice for those that have been subjected to harm.

It gives you a feel good feeling that makes you want to join a club just to experience the loyalty and friendship this author writes about.

Another great story and eagerly anticipating the next one. Well done Aimee Louise Foster you have produced yet another fab book in the series.

Loved reading more of woods and Chloe, they are fantastic together, and she is so supportive to him and Lauren. Woods is a fantastic big brother and loved how protected of Lauren he was. When you cant put a book down for more than five minutes in a afternoon shows you how great the book is. What I think I enjoyed even more with this book was the friendship/relationship starting between Lauren and Ramsey and how the relationship developed towards the end, what she went through was so awful, but Ramsey was just good with her from the start, melted my heart, would love to read more about them in future books. I love this series and really recommend it, looking forward to the next book.

I received an ARC for an honest review and wow. I read this book in a day as I could not put it down. The book is not only about Woods but also his sister Lauren who goes through a traumatic event at the beginning of the book. Through the book we get to see how Woods and Chloe's relationship develops. We also get to see Ramsey and Lauren's relationship develop and what type of person Ramsey and has left me wanting more Ramsey. A must read I highly recommend this book.

Another brilliant book in the ‘’aces’’ series. I really enjoyed this book. It truly is an emotional rollercoaster of a read. I just wish there was more Woods and Chloe in it. This book felt more like Lauren and Ramsey’s story than woods. No complaints though. I love every single character; I loved how protective of Lauren, Woods is. I love how strong Lauren is, she wasn’t going to let what happened to her define her. I was happy that Woods and Chloe got what they wanted. They wanted each other so badly but they had the worry of what Hound and the club would do. I read this book in one sitting and it kept me on the edge of my seat, like the other books in this series, I was left wanting more. I never want this series to end!

Lauren was sent to live with her big brother, Mark (Woods) when their parents died. Now three years later, although Lauren is still blaming herself for her parent’s death, things are moving smoothly in her life. That is until her out of control so called friend, Brooke, drags her to a party. What happens at the party will change her life forever. After suffering a traumatic and horrific event, Lauren keeps it a secret. She slowly grows closer to club prospect., Ramsey.

Ramsey can’t help but be attracted to Lauren, but he knows she has been through something, he just doesn’t know what. As the pair grow closer, Woods soon makes it known that he doesn’t agree with the friendship and warns Ramsey off of Lauren.

We found out in Chloe and Paige’s book about Chloe and Woods giving in to their attraction. But they were told nothing could happen. They were both warned to stop the relationship and stay away from one another. In this book we see Woods and Chloe finally give in to their feelings, and fight to be with one another. Woods is prepared to take the risk of losing the club he loves and even his life to be with Chloe. But just as Chloe and Woods relationship starts to move forward, Lauren is rushed to hospital, and they are once again put on pause, this time due to Wood’s choice.

Lauren secret soon comes to light and Woods is determined to get revenge. But will he get revenge for his baby sister? Will Lauren and Ramsey be allowed to be together? And will Chloe and Woods relationship finally move forward and progress?

I have one question though, how did Chloe find out about what happened to Lauren and how did she find/ come across the video?

I cannot wait for C.J’s book and more books from this awesome series.

A heart-rending, romantic suspense that is a must read! This book is hard to review without giving away spoilers, which I refuse to do. There is a lot going on in this book, with the unwilling separation between Woods and Chloe, Lauren's heartbreaking circumstances, the new friendship between Ramsey and Lauren even when they both want more, and the involvement of the MC in the middle of it all.

I love Woods and Chloe and want to see them together, but will it ever be able to happen when Duke and Hound are constantly standing in the way? Will Woods and Chloe ever decide that what they have is worth fighting for, no matter what the consequences are? This new friendship between Ramsey and Lauren couldn't have come at a better time, but will Woods be the one standing in the way this time? Or will her circumstances and his own finally get him to see that she is no longer a child, but an adult that's capable of making her own decisions? Will either couple get the HEA that they deserve, or will someone always be standing in the way?

If you haven't read this series, I suggest that you start from the beginning. Not only will you read great stories, but learn more about the dynamics of the MC, each couple, and how this MC family always is there for one another. You won't be disappointed!
I strongly recommend this book, series, and fantastic author!

Aimee does it again.
Others have recapped the story so I don't need to go in details other than to say, Woods and Laurens parents died and Woods had to raise his sister who is a shy and quiet girl who doesn't really like to be around others but Ramsey, a prospect of the club, seems to bring her out of her shell. Was really surprised with Laurens part of the book wasn't expecting that and what a surprise she gave us. Sad but good. I am happy she decided to include his sister, Lauren, in this book so it is like you are getting two books in one.

I was really concerned about how Aimee would be finishing up Woods and Chloe's story and she had me on edge until the end. I am so glad the "brotherhood/MC club" was and still are a family.
I thought I might have to do some whip ass on Woods or Duke and Hound (Chloe's dad) for a few minutes but they all surprised me since there was so many warnings to not be together. I didn't have to do any head slapping to each of them.

I have been waiting for Woods story. It's a tie between Diesel & Woods as my favorite. Of course I love all her books but I can't help to lean towards these two (since Locke doesn't seem to be coming back as having no memories or being in burn unit rehab or something (lol))

Keep them coming Aimee and Thank You for including me and letting me pre-read your book for an honest review.

Yet again, WOW !
This one tells us about Woods (obviously), his sister, Lauren, as well as Chloe and Ramsey.
There's so much i want to say about this, but if i did i'd end up with spoilers and i personally hate reviews with spoilers in them.
What i will say though is this: I loved how Aimee basically gave us 2 stories in 1 book as we see Woods and Chloe's relationship progress as well as see Lauren and Ramsey become close too. Yet again the story flowed perfectly, it had just the right amount of angst with plenty of emotional and comedy too. I would advise you though NOT to be fooled by the comedy, and lulled into a false sense of security of thinking everything's fine......Instead you need to hang on tight as you can be assured that what follows will be anything BUT funny !!
Absolutely loved it !!!
And although Locke will ALWAYS be my favourite of the Ace members, Ramsey and Woods are close to becoming my favourites too.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

OMG This was one of those books that you pick up and wont put down until the end! And you will be in for a ride.

Woods parent's was in an accident and all of a sudden he was in charge of a fourteen year old girl. So he did what anyone would do and took his sister in and raised her. Two years later and it looks like Lauren still hasn't come to terms with their parents accident. All she does is spend time on her own and studies. But she does notice one prospect, Ramsey.

On the other side you have Woods who is trying like anything to move on from Chloe but it is just not working out so good for him though, she's all he can think about.

This book was awesome! It was like two stories in one and I loved it! Lots of twists and turns and unexpected stuff happening that you wouldn't expect to happen.

If you haven't read this series yet, you wont regret it!

Woods and Chloe are struggling to stay away from each other and with Duke breathing down their necks. Their strong sexual chemistry and desire to be together. Is making it seem like an impossible task. Whilst this is Woods and Chloe story. Lauren, Woods little sister almost steals the show with her strong, determined and emotional journey to adulthood. But Chloe and Woods are a couple that seem stronger together than apart. What I loved about this is the strong emotional connection you feel towards the characters. They are real and go through the magnitude of emotions we all experience. Aimee Louise Foster weaves story that are well written, grab you in and leave you feeling emotional invested in her characters. I can not wait to see what this Amazing author has in stall next for the Aces MC Series.

One of my favorite authors is Aimee-Louise Foster. Her first book Diesel was a recommendation on Facebook and I downloaded it free on Amazon. A Must "READ". You have to read the whole “ACES MC series ". Each story is funny, exciting, and will touch your heart in a different way. Woods is no exception. Without giving anything away Woods comes from a privileged family but has decided to give his heart and soul to an MC that he calls family. When a tragic accident takes the life of his parents he now has to raise his 14year old sister Lauren. In this book you will read how Woods is tested by the friends and family around him, you will laugh, cheer, and grieve with him.
I definitely recommend this book. Enjoy!

Somewhat disappointed

I've read all of the series so far and was looking forward to woods story but I'm a bit disappointed the story seems rushed and only seems to skim the surface without much depth I know some of it has been covered with Chloe and parties novella but having it more in depth from woods point of view would have been good also the situation with Lauren again only seemed to skim the surface after such a traumatic experience the way it was dealt with didn't seem to fit for me I know she was used to hiding herself away but there seemed to be little to no emotion from her or sudden outburst surely this should have set off alarm bells. Overall not a bad read but it's short length make it seem rushed and a great opportunity missed.

Another brilliant book by a talented author.

I love the Aces books , the banter , the characters and their families are what makes these books a must read . But Woods is different and is so good with it . It centres around Woods , Chloe and Lauren ,Woods sister . It's mainly about Lauren , how she copes with losing her parents , living with her brother and his club and a very disturbing event . I won't tell you the event or the aftermath , but I cried my eyes out more than once as it's so well written and really gets to you .
This is another example of how amazing a writer Aimee-louise is and we are so privileged to be able to read her books. I am looking forward to Cj books as he's a firm favourite of mine.

Woods what a book. The story is very emotional with what happens to Lauren. Whilst Woods and Chloe are trying to sort out telling everyone they are together even though Duke is trying to keep them apart, Lauren is trying to keep it together, with the help and support of Ramsey with Woods being sent away a lot. When Chloe tells Woods what happened to Lauren with the info he needs he goes of to hurt the ones that hurt his sister, knowing that Chloe is by his side. A wonderful emotional read might want a box of tissues.

Received ARC

Another fantastic read from Aimee-Louise Foster, with each book you are left amazed at how great a writer she is. This book deals with a horrific event in a very realistic way that us the reader can understand. This book is written from several points of view and works so well you never feel lost or as if someone is talking just to fill some space, have to say I think Lauren is one of the strongest female I have read in a long time the way she dealt with everything thrown her way was amazing. Looking forward to seeing what comes next from this talented author.

I have tears running down my face. Omg what heartbreaking but beautiful story.

I was so glad woods and Chloe got their happy ending but also Lauren and silo.
Woods did need to back off and let his sister grow up. It was such a harrowing thing to happen to Lauren and was so beautifully written and done with honesty and also care.

Yet another brilliant book from Aimee. Can't wait for cj now!!!

It's not a very long book but it is jammed packed with content.
It does have some triggers in it but I felt it was done and dealt with very quickly albeit with consequences. This is woods book but oh Ramsay has a special place in my heart after this book.

I have to give a trigger warning for sexual abuse!
Lauren is such a sweet character and so is woods. They are the only family they have left and together they have been there for each other. When things get tough you see how the whole club stands together as always. these books get better and better!!
