Nice introduction. Then a part with short fictions, that didn't impress and I ended up skipping large parts. Then a parables and anecdotes section that was ok. The last part with verse and a few koans left something to be desired. Probably not easy to translate these texts, and I feel something got lost in many parts.
Some very interesting and priceless stories and poems in this book. Worth looking through.
But uneven, a lot of stuff that isn't fun to read (some Dante's Inferno Chinese Style for example) or not well explained. Or poems or koans that may have been relevant 1000 years ago, but now are dated.
