Kenneth and Anjelica Champ are both detectives. Kenneth is on the search for a serial killer that has a thing for male rapist. Anjelica is at another precinct in search for a serial rapist that's attacking the Hispanic community. The Champ's home life is perfect. At least that's what the outside world believes. With two daughters age 5 and 16, they try their best to keep them protected from the predator on the loose. What happens when all the clues lead to your spouse? Do you stay married or do you pack up and leave to protect your family?
This was a really good book, however it wasn't edited at all (which irked me). I was in shock to find out who the killer was. Mental illness is a bad sickness, but worse when you're with a person and you don't know they have it. I would've rated this book a 5, but I couldn't get over the fact that it wasn't edited.
I gave this book five stars cause I like the way it drew me in from the beginning. It will keep you guessing and trying to figure out what happens next. The end will bring out some emotions so have tissue handy. Also I love the fact that it's a standalone.
There was a lot going on in this story and sometimes I got the characters confused with all of the back and forth, but it was a well thought out plot and Angelica was really psychotic. Good read
This is a different kind of read from this author. It has a murder mystery type of feel to it. I'm usually good at solving the case in these type of reads, but this one kept me guessing, only to be wrong each time. It is a real page turner. I can't believe that Angelica was that crazy. With each turn of the page, I was more and more surprised. I highly recommend this read.
This was not the normal genre for this author but great writing nonetheless. Anjelica and Kenneth were both detectives but it seems someone was trying to set Kenneth up to be a serial killer. While trying to clear his name there is trouble brewing at home with their daughter and concerned mother in law. It took some twists and turns but was a great story.
Man this has got to be the most craziest story I read so far. Anjelica.... Omg.. Kenneth, I'm heartbroken... Poor Audrey.. This was a really good read. I'm not gone tell the story but baby she deserves these five stars. Pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
This was a good thrilling story filled with suspense. This storyline held my attention throughout, kept me guessing which character was the culprit, & I can say I was surprised. Interesting characters & situations. Good read
