Ned Thomas (b. 1936) is a Welsh intellectual and cultural author of essays and books published in the fields of politics, literature and language. His former works are in English while his latter in Welsh. He speaks languages such as Russian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Welsh and English. He was a lecturer at the Universities of Moscow, Salamanca and Aberystwyth in the Department of English and completed works such as Derek Walcott: Poet of the Islands, Orwell and Waldo during this time.
