This is book 3 of the Navy SEALS Romance series. Each book can be read as a standalone or in any particular order.
When his mom is injured in a car accident, Navy SEAL turned search-and-rescue expert Angel Ruiz races home to be with her. But what are the chances that her ICU nurse will be the very same person who turned her back on him years ago?
Madison Ellis never got over losing her fiance, even though she was the reason. When Angel got the sudden urge to join the military, she told him the truth - she wasn't cut out to be a soldier's wife. It had broken her heart, but she knew a clean break was better than a miserable lie.
Now, with Angel no longer on active duty and standing right in front of her every single day, the real truth can come out: she never stopped loving him.

A second chance at love story. Angel is still very angry with Madison. After proclaiming their love for two years, she calls it quits when he joins the service. Both must face the truth of the past and present to even give a future a chance. I enjoyed reading the search and rescue his friends were on as well while Angel was with his mother. Another abrupt ending.
Wish this story was longer. Angel is strong, loyal and caring. He rushes to his mother's side after she's injured in a car accident and finds his ex, Madison, working at the hospital. His dedication to his family and his renewed interest in Madison are touching. The alternate story of his SEArch & Rescue Teams mission provides interest and action. Tying the two stories together is clever and fitting. Loved the dedication the characters in this book show to their jobs, family and co-workers. Just wanted more time with them.
Great story and loved how Angel who was so rigid, drops everything to run to his mother's bedside. Also loved how he and Madison discovered what they really wanted. The bad part was the story was too short. Great job Rachel!
Good book, good characters, just wish we had more interaction from previous characters. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone book. The books are quick reads.
