De speurders van M-87
Onder druk van de harde feiten gaf Agen Thrumb de Terranen Minhau, als middel om terug te keren naar de melkweg. Maar het schip was niets anders dan een bom, waarmee de melkweg ontvolkt moest worden. Slechts aan een dode was het te danken dat het vernietigingsplan van Agen Thrumb werd doorkruist.
Toch heeft de basis-ingenieur geen reden om zich overwonnen te voelen. Per slot van rekening is hij weer onbetwist heerser aan boord van zijn ruimtevesting en heeft bovendien Perry Rhodan en vijf andere belangrijke mannen van de Crest in zijn macht. Agen Thrumb brengt zijn gevangenen naar de planeet Dwellion - en geeft ze over aan De speurders van M-87...

Spannend en vol aktie, zo hoort het.
Toch een beetje onbevredigend gevoel, na de gruwelijke feiten die 1 van de expeditieleden worden aangedaan, loopt alles een beetje te soepel. Nogal onwaarschijnlijk.
Desalniettemin wordt er in de saga weer een flinke stap voorwaarts gezet en wordt tegelijk duidelijk dat beide partijen in het conflict gelijk hebben. De Haloeters stammen er misschien wel van af maar zijn absoluut niet gelijk aan de beesten. Dat zou volgens trouwens nog een fantastische vechtscène kunnen opleveren, misschien in een volgende aflevering.
Het tempo ligt opnieuw hoog, zowel in de gebeurtenissen die mekaar heel snel opvolgen als in het verloop in de tijd waar nu flinke vooruitgang wordt geboekt. Het gevolg is wel dat een aantal zaken nogal oppervlakkig blijft.
Het geheel van de speurders levert wel een horror-beeld van een toekomst waar pscyhologen de macht hebben en alle andersdenken psychologisch, desnoods met lobotomie, op het "rechte" pad moeten gebracht worden. In welke EUSSR en andere totalitaire communistische regimes hebben we dat ook alweer gehoord? Uiteraard tot welzijn van de mensheid en vooral zijn niet-verkozen elites.

The Terran scientists establish that it would be impossible to have fitted the Minhau with a Transdim drive on such a short notice. Agen Thrumb explains that indeed, the Authorities of M-87 had decided several weeks ago that they were going to send the Terrans back to their home galaxy, for fear that their presence in M-87 would disturb the fragile equilibrium. The Base Engineer dispatches a group of Blue scientist to help the Terrans adjust the transdim drive.
The Minhau heads for a triple sun system called Parjar where the adjustments must be made. Once they are made, a quick test-drive of the engine is performed. As soon as the engine starts, a recording taped by the head researcher of the original Terran commando is broadcast in the spaceship.
The Minhau has been equipped with a device called a dimensional transducer which is aligned on the gravitational constant of the Milky Way. As soon as the Minhau would arrive in the Milky Way, the device would trigger a chain reaction that would cause all the stars in the galaxy to spontaneously self-combust. Kulu realizes that his teleportation on the Minhau was part of a carefully thought out plan by the powers of M-87.
The Terrans evacuate the Minhau and are picked up by Fancan Teik. The Minhau explodes and a blue singularity point is created in the middle of the triple system.
On the fortress, Rhodan and his commando are outnumbered by the Dumfries and are forced to surrender to the Base Engineer.
