About the author

Peter Yarrow was an American singer and songwriter who found fame as a member of the 1960s folk trio Peter Paul & Mary. Yarrow co-wrote (with Lenny Lipton) one of the group's best known hits, "Puff, the Magic Dragon." He was also a political activist and supported causes that ranged from opposition to the Vietnam War to school anti-bullying programs. Yarrow was convicted in 1970 of molesting a 14-year-old girl, for which he was pardoned in 1981 by President Jimmy Carter.

I *loved* playing piano from this book. The arrangements allowed me to play the piano with beautiful embellishments, but the piano part also carried the melody as well. This book will be a permanent part of my piano Christmas collection.

I really loved that the holiday collection included some Jewish music as well. It's a beautiful arrangement of Hayo, Haya and it was really fun to play Light One Candle.

There were only a couple of songs that I wouldn't play for friends/family:
- Twas the Night Before Christmas (didn't sound good on piano)
- This Land Is Your Land (since it's not specific to the holiday)
- Puff, The Magic Dragon (since it's not specific to the holiday)
